How To Say Happy Mother's Day in Chinese

(
()(qīn)(jié) ( kuài)()
Happy Mother's Day!

()(ma)(zhù)( nín)(  mǔ)(qīn)(jié)(  kuài)()
Mom, wish you a happy Mother's Day!

The two sentences above are mostly frequently used expressions to say Happy Mother's Day in Chinese. Both 妈妈and 母亲 mean mother, but the difference is 妈妈 can be both used in oral and written sentences; whereas 母亲 can only be used in written sentences, and it sounds more like old Chinese words, people don't use it in the daily life . 节 means holiday, Mother's Day as a holiday is the proper noun in Chinese, so we call it 母亲. But it is incorrect to say 妈妈节. Besides, 快乐 means happy, and 祝 means wish. Now you can try to link these words to a complete sentence, and express your love to all the moms you know in Chinese.

Tips:
You can see that on the video the lyrics are traditional Chinese words, but the lyrics with pinyin I wrote down are simplified Chinese words. It is because the singer Jay Chou is from Taiwan, and Taiwanese carry the traditional Chinese words until now. However, the law to transfer from traditional Chinese to simplified Chinese was passed in 1956 in Mainland China. Since simplified Chinese words are easier to write and remember compared to traditional Chinese words, it has been widely accepted. It is also the official written Chinese in Mainland China.

The Taiwan singer, composer, and lyricist, Jay Chou, is very popular in China, especially to the young generation. He is good at playing different musical instrument, such as piano, accordion, cello, flute and so on. One of the typical reason for so many fans to be crazy about him and also the reason for many people not to like him is his ambiguously singing. His singing can hardly be understood without reading the written lyrics, but the melody of each song is always attracting. This song LISTEN TO MOM is the only one we can hear clearly in part of it, and it is just that part which fascinates thousands of Chinese speakers.

The following part is the whole song, you can compare his ambiguously fast singing and his slowly emotional expression.
